NC lottery sends $98 million to education fund (The Herald-Sun)
The state lottery has made its largest quarterly transfer to benefit education programs. The North Carolina Education Lottery sent nearly $98 million to a dedicated state fund. The money will be used for pre-kindergarten and class-size reduction initiatives, public school construction and college scholarships.
