Lottery leaves one family out (Marion Chronicle-Tribune)
One family walked away from Marion’s new charter school lottery unhappy, after 22 students were placed into the third-grade class for the fall. Two of the 24 students registered were turned away — each class has 22 students — but both were put on waiting lists.

NEWBURGH – Town Police in Newburgh are warning people to beware of “Canadian Lottery” frauds. A Newburgh woman is out nearly $5,000 after receiving a letter that she was a winner in a lottery based in Canada. She was notified she won $485,000 in the “USA Mega” lottery based in Canada.
