Woman charged after trying to cash altered lottery ticket 9:02 PM (WCNC Charlotte)
ASHEVILLE, N.C. — Police have charged an Asheville woman with trying to claim $1 million with an altered lottery ticket. The Asheville Citizen-Times reports that 39-year-old Michelle Gibson Ryans is charged with obtaining property by false pretense. She was arrested Tuesday night.

Elderly fall prey to lottery scam (The New Straits Times)
