A business professor asserts the Virginia Lottery has taken in millions of dollars illegally by misrepresenting the prize money available for its “Scratcher” games.

The Florida Lottery announced today that it has reached a deal with Kmart to provide lottery players with even more convenient locations to purchase tickets for their favorite Florida Lottery games. Ninety-eight Kmart stores statewide are becoming Florida Lottery retailers this year, bringing the Lottery closer to its strategic goal of 13,500 authorized retailers.

Twenty five names were called out loud this afternoon during a lottery for 12 affordable housing units on Walnut Street. The first dozen of those people will have first dibs on the three-bedroom townhomes, but still must qualify for mortgages.
