The leader of the Minnesota State Lottery has been elected as president of an association that includes 31 lottery programs.

A Virginia man discovered the state lottery was continuing to sell tickets for games in which the top prizes were no longer available.

Tennessee lottery officials are warning about a fraudulent e-mail suggesting recipients are prize winners and asking for money to cover processing fees. The Tennessee Lottery never requires fees to claim a prize. Officials said anyone who receives such an e-mail or letter should disregard it. The scam is being tried nationwide, officials said.
