State Launches New Lottery Game (WCPN Cleveland)
The state has launched its latest lottery game — KENO. Governor Strickland pushed the state lottery commission to add the game, so schools could collect an extra $73 million every year in lottery profits.

LITTLE ROCK (AP) - Little Rock financier Warren Stephens has donated $50,000 to a campaign to create a state-run lottery. Stephens is the CEO of investment banking firm Stephens Incorporated. He donated the money last month to Lieutenant Governor Bill Halter’s lottery campaign, Hope for Arkansas .

Winning lottery ticket sold in De Soto (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
DE SOTO — A Missouri Lotto player who bought a ticket in De Soto will share a jackpot worth $4.9 million with one other person. The Missouri Lottery reported that one ticket was sold at Apple Market in Kansas City and the other at Amvets 48, in De Soto. Neither prize has been claimed.

Lottery campaign received $75,000 in July (Arkansas News Bureau)
LITTLE ROCK - Lt. Gov. Bill Halter’s campaign for a state-run lottery to fund college scholarships raised $75,000 in July, including a $50,000 contribution from financier Warren Stephens and $25,000 from a Little Rock couple whose total contributions to the campaign have now reached $425,000.
