FAYETTEVILLE — A statewide lottery appears headed for easy passage, according to the annual Arkansas Poll.

LITTLE ROCK — Baptist churches across the state have passed resolutions in the past month declaring opposition to a proposed state-run lottery to fund college scholarships, leaders of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention said Wednesday.
